Bacon makes everything better, and this Bacon Wrapped Pork Tenderloin is proof!
Lean pork tenderloin is rubbed with spices, and wrapped in a layer of bacon slices, infusing the pork with tons of flavor.
The crispy bacon on the outside reveals the tender pork underneath for an elegant dish that’s perfect for everything, from weeknight dinners to special occasions.
It’s ready in 40 minutes and can even be prepped a day ahead to save time for busy days!

Why we love this easy pork tenderloin recipe:
- Quick: This easy recipe takes under an hour, and the oven does most of the work, so you can prep the rest of dinner while it cooks!
- Flavorful: The bacon and spice blend breathes life into the pork tenderloin for a mouthwatering experience.
- Elegant: The bacon on the outside gives this dish a restaurant-worthy feel without the hefty price tag!
Bacon Wrapped Pork Tenderloin Ingredients:

- Pork tenderloin: Go for a roughly one-pound, trimmed tenderloin that doesn’t have any silver skin on it. This will cut down on prep time! Make sure to grab pork tenderloin and not pork loin, as pork loin is larger and won’t work in this recipe.
- Brown sugar: Brown sugar adds a bit of sweetness to balance out the savory pork and bacon. Light or dark brown sugar works!
- Italian seasoning: A mix of dried herbs like oregano, basil, and thyme. It’s perfect for seasoning the pork without being too overpowering. You can use store-bought or make your own!
- Garlic powder: Adds a savory depth to the pork. However, you can swap this for one clove of freshly minced garlic if you like!
- Paprika: Adds a subtle smoky flavor. If you want extra smokiness, go for smoked paprika, or stick to regular for a milder flavor.
- Thin-cut bacon: Choose thin-cut bacon so it crisps up nicely and doesn’t overwhelm the pork. Thick-cut bacon tends to take too long to cook and may not crisp up as well!
How to make this delicious Bacon Wrapped Pork Tenderloin:
This Bacon Wrapped Pork Tenderloin looks fancy, but it’s super easy to make! Check the recipe card for the full recipe instructions.
- Mix together brown sugar, salt, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, pepper, and paprika in a small bowl.
- Rub the seasoning mixture all over the pork tenderloin.

- Wrap each bacon slice around the tenderloin, covering it completely.
- Place the wrapped tenderloin in a baking dish and sprinkle the remaining brown sugar over the bacon.

Helpful tips:
- Secure the bacon: When wrapping the bacon around the pork, make sure to overlap the edges slightly and tuck the ends under to secure them. This prevents the bacon from unraveling while cooking!
- Crisp the bacon: If the bacon isn’t as crispy as you like, finish it off under the broiler for a couple of minutes. Just watch it closely to avoid burning!
- If your bacon is cooking too quickly: If your bacon starts to burn, wrap some aluminum foil around the baking dish, and return it to the oven to continue cooking!
Variations and Substitutions
- Fresh herbs: I use dried herbs for the seasoning, but you could finely chop fresh herbs like rosemary and thyme and rub them on the tenderloin!
- Reduce the sugar: If you prefer a more savory pork tenderloin, you can omit the brown sugar in the spice rub.
How to store leftover Bacon Wrapped Pork Tenderloin:
To store leftovers, place the bacon-wrapped pork tenderloin in an airtight container and refrigerate for up to 3-4 days.
For longer storage, you can wrap the tenderloin in aluminum foil or pop it in a freezer-safe container for up to 3 months. Let it thaw in the fridge overnight before reheating!
To reheat, you can microwave it, but for the best results, warm it in the oven or air fryer at a low temperature to keep the pork tender and the bacon crispy.

Make-ahead option:
If you want to make it ahead of time, you can prep the pork tenderloin by seasoning it and wrapping it in bacon.
Store it covered in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours before cooking. When ready, just pop it in the oven and roast as usual!
Serving suggestions:
I love to serve this dish with creamy Garlic Mashed Potatoes as a fluffy, buttery counterpart to the smoky bacon. You can also go with No-Fail Roasted Potatoes if you’re not a fan of mashed.
For a pop of color, I love to add some Roasted Green Beans or even Green Beans with Bacon because you can never have too much bacon!
If you’re feeling indulgent, you can always go with creamy Homemade Mac and Cheese as a rich, cheesy side.
To really complete the experience, warm up some soft Dinner Rolls to soak up any juices from the pork!
