The easiest 4-ingredient snack, appetizer or lunch for the kids! Easily change them to your tastes. Less than 10 minutes start to finish!

three stacked pizza crackers made with ritz crackers pepperoni and mozzarella on parchment paper

I’m not really a cracker person.

I think maybe it’s because I’m not really a cheese person. Apparently they go really well together.

I like cheese when it’s stirred into something, or melted on top of something, but I don’t like cold cheese. Anyone else with me? I don’t know what it is about cold cheese.

But heck, on a pizza, or lasagna? Load it up. The more the better.

My mom used to make these pizza crackers for our birthdays every year. I remember they were always a big hit with our friends. And why not? Spicy pepperoni, sweet tomato sauce and gooey cheese. Isn’t that what kids are all about?

I don’t know if I’d ever made these myself before my daughter’s second birthday. I guess I had always connected them to childhood birthdays, and it’s been a long time since I had a childhood birthday.

But now I have a kid. And when I was figuring out what I was going to make for her birthday party I thought of these right away: (a) because they’re delicious and (b) because it’s tradition!

So whether you’re celebrating a birthday or not, and whether you’re over the age of 12 or not, these are such a perfect snack! You could pair them with a spread of fruits and veg and call them lunch, too. Obviously, the measurements don’t have to be exact and you can easily make more or less to suit your needs.

I made these for my book club last night and everyone loved them. However, they stuck to the tin foil, so I recommend lining the pan with parchment paper.

Hi, just now came across this! Looks like something the grands would love!!. Have a question tho. In one picture it appears the pepperoni is cooked prior to putting the cheese on but that step isn’t mentioned in the instructions.

I would love to make these for a tailgating party, wondering if placing them in the microwave would work? Thoughts?

The pizza crackers were great to snack before dinner with my family an simple to make. Thanks for sharing!

My husband would go so crazy for these! He is obsessed with pizza and cheese and crackers! As much as I love melted cheese, I’m such a sucker for cold cheese and could eat a whole block by myself!

Hi Ashley! I used to make something similar for my kids when they were young, only I used English muffins instead of crackers. Always a quick fix for a snack or dinner!

My mom made these too. She used saltine crackers spread with tomato paste then pepperoni & cheese. They were really good. It has been a long time since I have thought of these. Brings by memories. Can’t wait to try it your way. My grand girls will surely love them as much as I do. Thanks for sharing.

I have to be honest and say that I am a huge cheese lover!!! So I’m slightly confused by your dislike of it cold. But it’s ok..we can still be friends 🙂 because these pizza crackers are possibly the most genius thing I have ever seen!!!!!! So going to be making these for the kids, but mostly for myself, very soon!

I just made these tonight at nearly 11 pm (while browsing Foodgawker..what doesn’t everyone do that right before bed? Ha!) because they looked so perfect for the late night munchies. I used bits of fresh tomato seasoned with salt, garlic powder, & dried basil in place of the sauce, turkey pepperoni, and Italian blend shredded cheese. SO good. I bet these would be amazing on the garlic or bacon Ritz, too.

Haha, I’m sure you’re not alone! You definitely took things up a notch from my childhood birthday party version — they sound delicious!

Personally, I’ll take cheese any way I can get it! I do like mozzarella cheese better melted and don’t like cold swiss at all, so I can understand how you feel. Anyway, I love these pizza crackers! I’ve never seen this done before, but I think I’ll try it for snack time around here this weekend (with gluten-free crackers obv). Have a good weekend 🙂

My mom made them every birthday, but I don’t think I’d actually made them myself until my girl’s second birthday! They’re a crowd pleaser for sure!
