DIY Frappuccino ingredients:

ingredients needed for frappuccino in bowls.
  • Cold water: Start with cold water to keep everything icy and smooth.
  • Cream or milk: Heavy cream will give you the richest flavor, but any type of milk or cream will work.
  • Sugar or coffee syrup: Regular sugar, flavored syrups, or even a sugar substitute all work.
  • Instant coffee granules or espresso powder: Gives you that deep coffee flavor without needing a full pot of brewed coffee. Choose a high-quality brand for the best flavor!
  • Ice cubes: The key to achieving that frosty, Frappuccino-like texture.
  • Whipped creamThis is totally optional, but I think it adds that cafe-style finish!

  • Combine everything in a blender until smooth.
  • Taste and adjust to suit your preferences.

Variations and Substitutions

  • Syrups: Use any type of syrup you like! You can go for classic simple syrup or dress things up a bit with some chocolate syrup, caramel syrup, or any other flavor your heart desires.
  • Add-ins: Feel free to add some chocolate chips or some caramel sauce to make a Caramel Frappuccino!
  • Espresso shots: If you like extra coffee flavor, you can add some espresso shots on top to make an espresso Frappuccino! Keep in mind that the consistency may be thinner.
  • Coffee ice cubes: Brew some strong coffee and pour it into ice cube trays. Let the coffee ice cubes freeze completely, then use them in place of regular ice cubes in your drink for extra coffee flavor!
  • Decaf: If you want a caffeine-free version, use decaf instant coffee instead!
