Why we love this Frozen Limeade recipe:

  • Simple: You only need 5 ingredients to whip up this frozen treat!
  • Refreshing: The fresh lime juice and zest add a vibrant tart flavor, perfect for warm summer days.
  • Thick and creamy: The sweetened condensed milk adds such a rich, thick texture to the limeade, similar to a milkshake! It’s the perfect combination of sweet and tart.

Frozen Limeade Ingredients:

ingredients needed for frozen limeade in bowls.
  • Whole milk: Gives the drink a creamy texture. You can swap it with any milk you prefer, but whole milk adds the best richness!
  • Sweetened condensed milk: Adds sweetness and a rich creaminess to balance the tartness of the lime juice. Make sure to grab the sweetened kind and not unsweetened evaporated milk, since this is what sweetens the drink!
  • Limes: Fresh lime juice and zest provide that zesty, tangy flavor that makes this drink so refreshing. You can swap this for any citrus.
  • Vanilla extract: This rounds out the flavors and adds depth.
  • Ice: Helps to chill the drink and give it that slushy texture. You can adjust the amount depending on how thick you want your limeade.

How to make Frozen Limeade:

This recipe is so simple! Just add your ingredients to a blender and blend. For the full list of recipe instructions, make sure to scroll down to the recipe card.

  • Zest and juice the limes.
  • Blend all the ingredients until you reach your desired consistency.

Add different fruit:

You can blend in some frozen or fresh fruit into the limeade for a different flavor, such as strawberries, blackberries, or blueberries!

What’s the best way to juice limes?

First, make sure your limes are room temperature.

Roll the lime on the counter with your palm for a few seconds to release the juice inside.

Then, cut the lime in half lengthwise, which helps get the most juice! Hold one half over a bowl or measuring cup, cut side up to catch any seeds.

Squeeze it firmly with your hands, or use a citrus juicer if you have one.

If you don’t, just stick a fork in the middle of the lime, twist it, and squeeze to get the juice flowing. If any seeds slip through, just strain the juice or scoop them out with a spoon!
