These Chicken Alfredo Quesadillas are an easy lunch, dinner or snack! They’re filled with juicy leftover chicken, rich and creamy Alfredo sauce, and gooey melted cheese — easy comfort food! A 10 minute meal.

When Chicken Alfredo Meets Quesadilla
Quesadillas are one of our favorite easy meals. You can stuff them with anything you have in the fridge and they are ready in just a few minutes.
For this recipe, I wanted a new twist that was still simple. With a four-year-old and a toddler, sometimes I only get a few minutes to quickly throw something in the pan! And since Chicken Alfredo has always been one of my favorite comfort foods, I thought this was the perfect way to enjoy it all week long.
These chicken Alfredo quesadillas are packed with chicken (cook it ahead of time for the week!), Alfredo sauce (buy your favorite brand or try my favorite — this Pesto Spinach Alfredo Sauce), and cheese — use your favorite!
Basically, top, fold and heat… it doesn’t get much easier than that.

Ingredients for Chicken Alfredo Quesadillas
- Tortilla: Use original, whole wheat, or another flavor – you can’t go wrong.
- Alfredo sauce: Grab your favorite pre-made brand at the store! Or if you’re feeling up for it, make my easy Alfredo sauce.
- Cooked chicken: Make sure you have this cooked ahead of time so things come together in 10 minutes!
- Shredded cheese: Choose your favorite kind of cheese! This recipe is easy to customize.
Your Quesadilla, Your Rules – Try These Variations!
- Buffalo chicken: Toss your cooked chicken in buffalo sauce instead of Alfredo, and use blue cheese or ranch crumbles for a spicy kick.
- BBQ chicken: Replace the Alfredo with your favorite BBQ sauce, and add some red onion and pepper jack cheese for a smoky, tangy bite.
- Spinach artichoke: Mix in some spinach and artichoke hearts with the Alfredo sauce for a dip-inspired quesadilla that feels totally indulgent.
- Veggie lovers: Skip the chicken and load up with roasted bell peppers, mushrooms, zucchini and onions with the Alfredo sauce for a hearty meatless option.
- Tex-mex: Swap Alfredo for salsa, add black beans, corn, and pepper jack cheese for a bold southwestern flair.
What to Serve with Chicken Alfredo Quesadillas
There are so many delicious sides you can serve with these quesadillas! To complete the meal, you can serve them with a side of rice, baked beans, or some simple roasted vegetables. A fresh salad also makes a great pairing, like this Creamy Italian Potato Salad.

Storing Your Chicken Alfredo Quesadillas
To store in the refrigerator, let your quesadillas cool completely before wrapping them tightly in plastic wrap or placing them in an airtight container. They can be stored for up to 3 days.
To freeze, wrap individual quesadillas in plastic wrap and then place them in a freezer-safe bag. They can be frozen for up to 3 months. To reheat, just thaw in the refrigerator overnight and then heat in a skillet or microwave until warmed through.

I love the idea of a chicken Alfredo quesadilla, but the sodium levels are sport high. Any ideas on how to lower it?
Ashley Fehr says
Really the only way to do that is to make everything from scratch and adjust the seasoning to suit your tastes
Melanie says
Yeah… That’s not likely to happen. I’ll just make it infrequently then since I’m trying to cut down on my sodium intake

LOVE the simplicity of this! We do the same thing with fajitas – scrounge around our fridge for whatever remnants of dinners we can throw together into some fajitas. I love the idea of cheesy quesdadillas! So quick and easy to make, and so satisfying!
