6hot dogs(good quality, all beef hot dogs are our favorite)
6hot dog buns
ketchup, mustard and other condiments as desired
Instructions
Preheat air fryer to 400 degrees according to manufacturer's instructions (we usually just turn it on for 5-10 minutes).
Place the hot dogs in the air fryer (no need to spray).
Cook for 6-10 minutes, turning half way, until desired doneness is reached. Serve with buns and condiments.
Notes
Tips:
Preheat the air fryer. Heating the air fryer up first is the key to that perfect juicy and crispy hot dog texture.
Air fry in a single layer. Stacking the hot dogs will steam them and they won't crisp up. It will also affect the overall cook time. For the best results, only add as many hot dogs as will fit in a single layer, and leave space between them if possible.
Turn them halfway. Rotating the hot dogs halfway through the cooking time ensures that they cook evenly and get crispy all the way around.
Storage:Once cooked, hot dogs will last in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days or in the freezer for 1-2 months. To reheat, thaw overnight in the fridge if frozen, then warm back in the air fryer.
