This Strawberry Milk is creamy and delicious! Made with real strawberries, sugar, milk, and a little bit of water, you're only a few steps away from this refreshing sweet treat!
In a medium saucepan, combine strawberries, water and sugar on medium heat.
Cook and stir until bubbly, strawberries have softened and sugar has dissolved. Mash strawberries as you cook.
Pour strawberry sauce through a fine mesh sieve to remove chunks and seeds and place in the refrigerator to cool completely.**
Combine ¼-½ cup strawberry sauce with one cup milk or to taste.
The leftover strawberry sauce can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
Notes
*The nutrition information is calculated with a ratio of 1/4 cup syrup to 1 cup milk. This makes a mildly sweet strawberry milk. If you prefer a sweeter drink with more strawberry flavor, you can add 1/2 cup syrup to 1 cup milk which would give enough syrup for 4 servings.
Storage: Leftover strawberry syrup can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
**Cooling: If you want to cool the syrup down quickly so you can use it sooner, cool it in the freezer rather than the fridge. Put the freshly made strawberry syrup in the freezer for 20 minutes, stirring every 5, until completely cool.
